Introductions

My name is Crystal Arnett and I am pleased to introduce myself as the new Gallery Associate for the Ottawa Community Arts Council located in the Carnegie Cultural Center at 501 S. Main. I've met many of the community members since taking the position in June and have enjoyed visiting with you about your thoughts on art. I've been excited to hear what exhibits at the Carnegie have you attended in the past and if you haven't made it to our center yet what kind of future exhibits would you like to see?
I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a B.A. in Art History in 2003 and minors in French and Business Administration. I also spent a summer in Bordeaux, France as part of a pilot group of foreign exchange students with the University of Bordeaux. While I was there I was fortunate to visit the Louvre and Musee D'Orsay. With a strong background in fine art and having visited a number of national and international museums and galleries in the past, I have been exposed to a number of aspects of the art world. I am confident that I will be a successful part of your community center and look forward to working with all of you.
